The international conference “Integrated monitoring system of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov” was held in Sevastopol (Ukraine), 25-27 September 2013

The international conference “Integrated monitoring system of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov” was held in Sevastopol (Ukraine) at the end of September. Specialists in hydrometeorology, environmental management and instrument design gathered at the Marine Hydrophysical Institute of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences in order to discuss the recent proceedings in studies of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov as well as their impact on the surrounding territories within the framework of four different sections during three days from September 25th to 27th.

The NRAL delegation to the conference consisted of Victor Arkhipkin, Taras Samborsky, Sergei Mukhametov and Fedor Gippius. The results of studies performed by the laboratory were presented in two reports which led to an active and productive discussion.

This conference is aimed to consolidate and broaden the scientific contacts between NRAL scientists and their Ukrainian colleagues.
