The academic and research seminar “The modeling of the avalanches and mudflows in RAMMS program” was held in the beginning of June in Sochi.

The academic and research seminar “The modeling of the avalanches and mudflows in RAMMS program” was held in the beginning of June in Sochi. The seminar was organized by Swiss federal institute for snow and avalanches studies, the laboratory of snow avalanches and mudflows of the MSU geographical faculty and natural risk assessment laboratory of the MSU geographical department (with the support of Roza-Khutor resort). During one week the developers of the RAMMS program Perry Bartelt, Mark Christen and Ive Bluher were training the participants to model the avalanches and mudflows in 3d landscape to solve the practical questions of promoting avalanche and mudflows safety in different regions.
